About This Access Site
Keystone Landing is a DNR boat access site on the Au Sable River near Grayling, providing a convenient put-in for kayakers and canoeists exploring this popular paddling destination. The site is located 6.5 miles east of Grayling via M-72, then south on Stephan Bridge Road and east on Forest Road 4003. This is one of several access points along the Au Sable between Grayling and Mio, making it useful for planning multi-day trips or shorter paddling routes.

Paddlers should be aware that water conditions between Grayling and Burtons include some slow-moving sections with minimal current. Kayaks and canoes handle these areas well, so this landing works well for either watercraft. The nearby Kneff Lake Campground (reservable through Recreation.gov at 989-826-3252) offers 27 campsites and is located within a few miles, providing a convenient overnight option for paddlers planning extended trips on the river. Additional access points nearby include Stephan Bridge Launch and Wakeley Bridge Landing, allowing for flexible trip planning depending on your desired paddling distance and conditions.
