About This Access Site
The Kezar Lake boat ramp, located at Wadleigh State Park near Horse Beach in Sutton, offers convenient access to this scenic 180-acre lake in the Merrimack County region. The launch features a well-maintained ramp that extends into deeper water and includes a dock, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. A small parking area is available across the road from the launch.

Kezar Lake is a popular destination for paddling and fishing, with calm, protected waters ideal for recreational boating. The surrounding area offers additional amenities, including hiking trails (a 3.1-mile loop starts at the park) and nearby recreation at Blackwater Dam and the John Hay National Wildlife Refuge. Paddlers should be mindful of aquatic vegetation in shallow areas and avoid traveling through vegetation beds to protect the lakebed ecosystem.
