Kidd Island Bay Boat Ramp provides convenient access to the stunning waters of Lake Coeur d'Alene via a gravel launch facility located at 2099 W Kidd Island Road in Coeur d'Alene. The ramp features a single-vehicle trailer parking area (limited capacity) and direct access to both Lake Coeur d'Alene and Kidd Creek, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. This is one of more than 15 public boat launches available on the lake.
Lake Coeur d'Alene is renowned as one of the world's most beautiful alpine lakes, offering excellent paddling and boating opportunities across its sparkling waters. From this access point, paddlers can explore the lake's numerous bays and nearby attractions, including Popcorn Island on the northern end of Killarney Lake, which offers vault toilets and picnic facilities. For those planning an extended trip, Beauty Creek Campground is available for reservations within 10 miles of the launch.
Given the limited parking at this facility, consider arriving early during peak season or peak hours. The gravel launch surface is suitable for most small watercraft and is a good option for kayakers and canoeists seeking access to this pristine lake environment.
