About This Access Site
Kincaid Lake Dam boat ramp provides convenient access to Kincaid Lake and Kincaid Creek in Falmouth, Kentucky. Located within Kincaid Lake State Park in the Appalachian Mountains region, this access point features a paved boat ramp situated just above the dam. The ramp is free to use and accommodates both kayaks, canoes, and trailered boats. To reach the site from Falmouth, take Highway 22 East, turn left on KY 159, and follow signs to the Kincaid Lake State Park entrance.

Kincaid Lake is a relatively small, calm-water impoundment created by the dam constructed in 1961, making it ideal for paddlers seeking protected waters and easier recreational paddling. The state park setting offers additional amenities and shoreline access for exploration. A second paved ramp is available within the main state park area if you prefer alternative launch options. For boaters interested in extended paddling, the nearby Ohio River's Meldahl Pool (95 miles of navigable water) is accessible downstream at Captain Anthony Meldahl Locks & Dam at mile marker 436.
