About This Access Site
**Location & Access:**
LaBenite Park provides boat ramp access to the Missouri River in Jackson County, Missouri, near Sugar Creek. From Highway 291 at the river, head south on Highway 291, then east on Cement/N. Courtney Roads before turning north into the park. Look for the river access sign on the east side of the road. The park offers bathrooms and facilities.

**What to Expect:**
The Missouri River at this location is a major waterway with significant flow (averaging 121,000+ cubic feet per second) and moderate current (7.4 feet/second average). The ramp points downstream with some rocky sections along the banks; muddy bank landings are also available when water levels fluctuate. This is a major river system with substantial size and power, so be prepared for strong current and river conditions. Nearby access points include the old Riverfront Park upstream at the Chouteau Bridge and Kaw Point Access downstream at the Kansas River confluence.

**Planning Your Visit:**
The exposed muddy banks and fluctuating water levels are typical of this stretch of the Missouri River. Check current river conditions and water levels before launching, as flow rates and bank stability can vary significantly with seasonal changes.
