Lake Almanor West Shore Campground

The Lake Almanor West Shore Campground offers a convenient boat ramp for paddlers and boaters on the shores of scenic Lake Almanor. The campground is located next to the boat ramp, providing easy access to the lake.

Lake Almanor is a large reservoir in the northern Sierra Nevada mountains, offering ample opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The lake spans over 28 miles in length and can experience windy conditions, so paddlers should exercise caution. The boat ramp provides direct access to the lake, allowing easy launching and loading of small watercraft.

While the campground itself is not reservable, it offers 15 designated campsites for those looking to spend multiple days exploring the lake. Nearby campgrounds like Soldier Meadows and Legacy Campground provide additional options for overnight stays. Visitors should note that the campground and boat ramp are part of the Lassen National Forest, so appropriate permits and regulations may apply.

Soldier Meadows is a developed campground with 15 designated sites.  A maximum of 8 people is allowed per site.  Located in a picturesque meadow near Soldier Creek, the campground is surrounded by a majestic pine and fir forest.  Grills and tables are provided.
