The Burke Lake boat ramp provides easy access to this 218-acre lake in Fairfax Station, Virginia. The ramp is located along the DWR access road, which is on the right side when approaching from Route 123 (Ox Road).
This lake is popular with kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats. It offers 5.25 miles of shoreline with several fishing bulkheads and a fishing pier that are accessible to those with disabilities. The lake environment is generally peaceful, providing a scenic setting for recreational boating.
However, it's important to note that use of kayaks is prohibited on the lake, unless they are being used for fishing. All boaters will need to have the proper permits, licenses, and registrations required by the state of Virginia. Parking fees also apply for non-residents on weekends and holidays from April through October.
