Lake Darling

Lake Darling in Renville County offers multiple public boat ramps for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. This access site near Carpio provides entry to a popular fishing and recreation destination with six ramps distributed around the lake, giving paddlers flexibility in choosing their launch point. The lake sits within convenient reach of the Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge, making it an excellent base for exploring the broader Souris River ecosystem.

Note that motorized fishing boats are restricted to the water from May 1 through September 30, with access limited south of Highway 28 to Lake Darling Dam.
