Lake Farmington offers a convenient public boat ramp for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters located in Farmington, San Juan County. The access point is easily found off NM 516/Main Street, directly across from the Farmington Flea Market. The site features a well-maintained marina with dock facilities and rental options available, making it accessible for both day trips and longer outings. Handicap-accessible ramps are available throughout the park to accommodate users of all abilities.
This year-round destination is popular with anglers and water enthusiasts, with an annual vehicle pass required for lake access ($50 per vehicle). The lake supports a healthy fishery including rainbow and brown trout, Kokanee salmon, northern pike, bass, and panfish. The area is ideal for non-motorized watercraft like kayaks and canoes, though motorized boats are also permitted.
