About This Access Site
The Lake Forest Boat Ramp provides convenient access to the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe in Tahoe City, California. Located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City off Highway 28 on Lake Forest Road, this facility is operated by the Tahoe City Public Utility District.

The boat ramp offers a launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats to explore the expansive waters of Lake Tahoe. With limited day-use parking and restrooms on site, it's a practical access point for recreating on the lake. Nearby, the Tahoe State Recreation Area Pomin Park provides additional amenities like a picnic area and small beach.

Lake Tahoe is a large, deep alpine lake straddling the California-Nevada border.
