Lake Frances

Lake Frances is a 927-acre lake in Le Sueur County offering a county-owned public boat access on the north shore near Elysian. The access features a single concrete boat ramp and dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. With a maximum depth of 60 feet and average water clarity of 5.7 feet, the lake provides decent conditions for paddling and fishing throughout its seven miles of shoreline.

This is one of two public accesses available on Lake Frances, both equipped with concrete ramps. Paddlers should note the moderate water clarity and plan accordingly for visibility.
