**Location & Access:** Lake Henry Land Use Area in De Smet, Kingsbury County, provides boat ramp access to Lake Henry, a substantial 6,000-acre water body approximately 8 miles long and 2 miles wide. The site features a gravel boat ramp with courtesy docks and ample paved parking suitable for vehicles towing trailers.
**Facilities & Regulations:** The day-use area includes a vault toilet, fishing docks, and a picnic area. A park entrance license is required to access this South Dakota state recreation area. Note that area roads can become slick when wet or snow-covered, so plan accordingly. Camping is available and limited to 10 days within any 30-day period. Pets must remain leashed, and all users should pack out what they pack in.
