About This Access Site
Lake Kemp, located on the Wichita River north of Seymour off US 183, offers a 15,590-acre impoundment with a maximum depth of 53 feet. The access site features a public boat ramp suitable for small to medium-sized boats on the east side of the causeway bridge island. Access to seven boat ramps around the lake requires passing through toll gates with a $15 per person entrance fee.

**Important operational considerations:** Most ramps become unusable when lake levels drop three or more feet below normal elevation. The ramp at Moonshine gate is the most reliable option during lower water conditions. Paddlers and boaters should check current water levels before planning a trip, as seasonal fluctuations significantly affect ramp accessibility. Lake Arrowhead State Park nearby offers camping facilities for those planning extended visits.
