About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Lower Lake Mary is located 8 miles southeast of Flagstaff in Coconino National Forest at 7,000 feet elevation. To reach the boat ramp, drive south from Flagstaff on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road). This is a paved access route that makes for easy approach with your watercraft.

**Facilities & Water Conditions:** The site features a concrete boat ramp, paved fishing access areas, picnic tables, and composting toilets. Water levels vary seasonally—when full, Lake Mary is stocked with catfish and trout and offers good fishing opportunities. Note that the facility may be gated during winter months, though fishermen and paddlers can often still access the area by parking safely along Lake Mary Road. The nearby Lakeview Campground offers overnight accommodations if you're planning an extended visit.

**Nearby Recreation:** Beyond paddling and fishing, the area provides easy access to hiking, wildlife viewing, and photography opportunities in Coconino National Forest. Walnut Canyon National Monument is also in the vicinity, making this a good base for exploring multiple outdoor attractions in the Flagstaff region.

Lake Mary Road has wide paved shoulders and makes an excellent place to bike, roller blade or jog. Not too far away you'll find the Sandy's Canyon Trail which leads into an area of picturesque small canyons, big trees, and even bigger views.
