About This Access Site
Located 12 miles southeast of Flagstaff via paved Lake Mary Road, Upper Lake Mary offers convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters in the Coconino National Forest. The facility features two paved boat launch ramps and a paved parking area. When full, the lake covers approximately 450 acres with a maximum depth of 38 feet, making it suitable for various water sports. There is no restriction on boat motor size, though the lake's size accommodates all vessel types.

This high-elevation lake (7,000 feet) is a popular destination for fishing and recreational boating. The site typically operates seasonally from May through mid-October, with staff usually present during regular hours. Both nearby Lakeview Campground (reservable) and Forked Pine Campground offer overnight options for extended visits. The paved road access and developed facilities make this a straightforward choice for launching paddlecraft or motorboats, though water levels can vary seasonally—call ahead or check current conditions before traveling.
