Lake Minnetonka, Grays Bay

Located in Wayzata just minutes from downtown, the Grays Bay Public Landing provides convenient access to Lake Minnetonka's Grays Bay. This facility features three launch lanes, ample parking (112 trailer spaces plus 21 car-only spaces), and public restrooms, making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and trailered boats. Free parking is available, and the ramp is situated directly on the bay for easy water access.

The facility operates seasonally from approximately April 1 through October 31, weather permitting. Once open, the launch is available 24 hours daily. Paddlers should note that this access point opens onto Grays Bay, a sheltered area of Lake Minnetonka ideal for recreational paddling. The nearby Mississippi River pools (Pool 1 and St. Anthony Falls Pool) offer additional paddling opportunities within the Twin Cities area for those seeking varied water conditions.
