About This Access Site
**Overview & Access**
Scorpion Bay at Lake Pleasant offers excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters via the Lake Pleasant Regional Park system near Peoria. The park features multiple boat launch options including a 10-lane main ramp and a 4-lane north entrance ramp, providing ample parking for trailers and vehicles. This is a day-use facility with free access, though note that the main park entrance closes at 8 p.m. for non-camping visitors.

**Paddling Conditions**
Lake Pleasant is a large, newly expanded reservoir with 114 miles of shoreline and calm, flatwater conditions ideal for kayaking and canoeing. The lake offers family-friendly recreation opportunities with predictable conditions, making it suitable for paddlers of all skill levels. A seasonal boat launch at the Agua Fria Conservation Area provides additional options for smaller boats, though access may be limited depending on water levels and time of year.
