The Lake Ronkonkoma Boat Ramp, located off Victory Drive on the west side of the lake in Nesconset, offers convenient access to Long Island's largest freshwater lake. This Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) maintained site features a concrete ramp approximately 20 feet wide and 100 feet long, with ample parking available. The ramp is always open for boat launching and fishing, with no special permits required—making it an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters seeking hassle-free water access.
The 240+ acre lake provides a scenic setting for paddling and fishing, with calm freshwater conditions suitable for various water activities. The site also features an accessible 100-foot fishing pier on the north side of the lake if you're interested in shore-based angling. Note that seasonal parking fees may apply, though boat launching itself requires no permit or special authorization.
