The Lake San Antonio (Lynch Area) boat ramp provides access to the expansive Lake San Antonio in Monterey County, California. This public launch site is operated by the Monterey County Parks Department and offers ample parking and facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and other small boaters.
Lake San Antonio is a large reservoir that spans over 5,500 acres when full. The lake offers excellent conditions for paddling, with calm waters and beautiful mountain scenery. Boaters should be aware that a current Vessel Screening Permit is required before launching any vessel into the lake, in order to prevent the spread of invasive mussels. The permit can be obtained at the entrance gate.
The Lynch Area launch site features a concrete boat ramp, making it easy to get small craft in and out of the water. Parking is available, though the lot may fill up during peak times. Paddlers and boaters can explore the lake's coves, inlets, and surrounding public lands, making this a popular destination for a day out on the water.
