About This Access Site
The Lake Seminole Wildlife Management Area Ranger Station provides boat access to the Chattahoochee River and expansive Lake Seminole. This is a popular launch site for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats exploring the area's abundant wildlife and natural scenery.

The boat ramp is located directly at the ranger station, offering a convenient put-in point. Lake Seminole, formed by the Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam, covers over 37,500 acres and is known for excellent fishing opportunities. The Chattahoochee River flows into the lake, providing access to a variety of coves, wetlands, and undeveloped shoreline. Paddlers and boaters should be aware of potential fluctuations in water levels and flow, as the river can experience changes depending on dam operations.

This access site is the primary means of reaching the interior of the wildlife management area, as the roads within the property are generally only navigable by foot or boat. Visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and the peaceful natural surroundings of this remote, protected area along the Chattahoochee River and Lake Seminole.
