About This Access Site
Located on Lake Tahoe's scenic east shore near Lakeridge, Nevada, Cave Rock offers a well-developed boat launch facility ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The launch features one double ramp with a dock divider and over 40 trailer parking spaces, making it convenient for day trips and longer outings on this large alpine lake. A small beach area at the south end of the park provides an additional access point for non-motorized watercraft and a nice spot to beach your boat.

The park is named for Cave Rock, a distinctive volcanic rock formation that serves as a prominent scenic landmark and viewpoint. Visitors will find three restroom locations throughout the park—near the beach, across from the main facilities, and adjacent to the boat ramp. Note that motorized watercraft require offsite inspection as part of invasive species protection efforts. The site is accessible via Highway 28/50 and offers access to the broader recreational opportunities of Lake Tahoe's east shore, including nearby camping at Zephyr Cove and other facilities within 10 miles.
