About This Access Site
Crystal Bay offers public water access on Lake Tahoe's scenic east shore near Incline Village, Nevada. This boat ramp provides launch and retrieval access to the largest alpine lake in North America. The site is conveniently located along Highway 28, making it accessible for day trips and longer paddling adventures. Kayak rentals and food concessions are available onsite, along with picnic areas and a large group pavilion available for rent.

Before launching, check current water levels and wave conditions, as Lake Tahoe's conditions can change rapidly and significantly impact safe launching and retrieval. All boaters should be aware of no-wake zones (5 mph speed limit within 600 feet of shore and other restricted areas) and stay informed about aquatic invasive species. The free Tahoe Boating App is highly recommended—it provides interactive maps of no-wake zones, emergency contacts, live weather alerts, and locations of fueling stations and facilities around the lake.

For paddling routes and additional public launch sites, consult the Lake Tahoe Water Trail website. Contact Crystal Bay Marine at 775-832-8333 or info@crystalbaymarine.net for current conditions and facility information. The east shore offers excellent recreational opportunities including water sports, hiking, and seasonal winter activities.
