About This Access Site
Zephyr Cove Marina is a full-service access point on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Nevada, offering boat rentals, mooring buoy rentals, and a sandy beach area. The marina serves as a convenient hub for water sports and recreational activities on this mostly undeveloped side of the lake. The facility is easily accessible via Highway 50 and provides a good staging area for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters exploring Lake Tahoe's pristine waters.

**Important Note:** While Zephyr Cove Marina provides amenities and beach access, the nearest public boat launch with a ramp is located at Cave Rock, approximately 3 miles north. That facility is operated by Nevada State Parks and charges a launch fee ($20 for Nevada residents, $25 for non-residents). Paddlers should plan accordingly and confirm current conditions and access before visiting. The east shore offers excellent recreational opportunities including water activities, camping at nearby facilities, hiking, and seasonal winter sports along the scenic Carson Range backdrop.
