Located on the west side of Danville near Route 6, this public access point offers a well-maintained boat ramp managed by the Vermilion County Conservation District. The facility features a two-lane boat ramp, dock complex, and concession building where you can purchase fuel, bait, snacks, and drinks. **Note that all boats require either a Season Pass Decal or Daily Fee Pass**, available at the concession stand—plan to stop there before launching.
The ramp is easily accessed from Route 6: turn south onto West River Road at the bridge over the Vermilion River (near Convenient Food Mart), then turn east onto the Boat Ramp access road at the stop sign approximately ¼ mile ahead. As a water supply lake owned by Aqua Illinois Inc., Lake Vermilion is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. Anglers should note Illinois State fishing regulations apply, with specific limits for largemouth bass (15" minimum, 6 fish daily) and crappie (9" minimum, 15 fish daily).
