The Lake Vermillion Recreation Area provides convenient access to this 512-acre reservoir created by impounding the East Fork Vermillion River. This ramp at Rumpus Ridge is one of two boat launch facilities at the recreation area, making it an ideal put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The clear waters are popular with paddlers and anglers alike, and the area offers good access for recreational watercraft of all types.
Facilities at the recreation area include ADA-accessible restrooms, drinking water, and a campground (40-foot RV length limit) for those planning overnight stays. An accessible fishing pier is also available.
