**Access & Launch Details**
The Lamine River Conservation Area offers a concrete boat ramp on Highway A in Otterville for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The ramp itself can be swept by river current, so paddlers should use the nice eddy located just downstream of the ramp for safer landing and takeout. Day use only is permitted at the ramp site.
**Facilities & Recreation**
This 6,019-acre conservation area provides parking at the boat ramp along with four designated camping sites located away from the riverbank (no amenities at these sites). Beyond paddling, the area offers 9 fishable ponds, 12 miles of Lamine River access, and 3 miles of smaller tributary streams. Wildlife viewing opportunities include river otters and bobcats. Anglers should consult Missouri Wildlife Code Chapter 11 regulations before fishing.
**River Conditions**
Expect rough water access for canoes and kayaks. The area also allows for rough portaging if needed. This is a good basecamp for paddlers exploring the Lamine River system in Cooper and Morgan Counties.
