About This Access Site
**Access & Launch Information**
The Lamine River Conservation Area provides a concrete boat ramp on Highway A near Otterville for accessing the Lamine River. This is a day-use-only ramp facility. Be aware that current can sweep across the ramp itself; paddlers may find it easier to land in the eddy located just downstream of the ramp where conditions are calmer. The site includes parking and is suitable for canoes, kayaks, and other boats.

**Facilities & Surrounding Area**
This 6,019-acre conservation area offers more than just river access. Beyond the ramp, the property features 12 miles of paddleable Lamine River, 3 miles of smaller tributary streams, nine fishable ponds, and four primitive camping sites (removed from the riverbank) for those planning overnight trips. The area is also known for wildlife viewing opportunities including river otters and bobcats. Fishing is popular throughout the conservation area.

**What to Know Before You Go**
The Lamine River at this location appears suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels, though the current near the ramp warrants caution during launch and takeout. Check Missouri Department of Conservation regulations for any special rules or seasonal restrictions before your visit.
