Langsdorf Landing is a WDFW-maintained boat ramp providing year-round access to a Columbia River mainstem slough located between the Washington mainland and Caterpillar Island, across from Sauvie Island. The site offers a recently reconstructed ramp and paved parking area in a relatively remote setting. This location is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the quieter slough waters, as well as for anglers and boaters accessing the Columbia River system.
The landing is situated adjacent to Kadow's Caterpillar Island Marina, which offers additional services including boat slip rentals and moorage. Nearby recreation opportunities include Fort Vancouver National Historic Site to the south and Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, making this a good base for exploring the broader Clark County water and natural areas. Note that the site has no hand launches or fishing platforms, so visitors should plan accordingly based on their boat type and needs.
