Lava Lake Lodge

**Location & Access:** Lava Lake Lodge is located on Lava Lake in the Cascade Mountains at 4,740 feet elevation, approximately 38 miles southwest of Bend via the Cascade Lakes Highway (Highway 46). The site features an excellent boat ramp with dock and parking area, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. A day-use fee applies.

**Facilities & Recreation:** Both motorized and non-motorized boating are permitted on Lava Lake. The access area includes a fish cleaning station and is part of the larger Lava Lake Campground complex (44 campsites available). The lake is surrounded by mature lodgepole pine forest with scenic lava outcroppings and bull rushes along the shoreline. Beyond paddling, the area offers excellent hiking and mountain biking trails, including access to trails leading into the Three Sisters Wilderness.

**Planning Your Visit:** Camping is available at the adjacent Lava Lake Campground (reservable via Recreation.gov at 541-323-1746). For current information on day-use fees, hours, and conditions, contact the campground directly. The nearby Cultus Lake and Little Lava Lake offer alternative access points if you're exploring multiple water bodies in this scenic region.
