The Lavadour access site is a concrete boat ramp located near Days Creek in Douglas County, providing entry to the South Umpqua River. This ramp serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to access this scenic waterway in southwestern Oregon. **Important note:** The ramp has large voids between concrete planks, so exercise caution when launching and retrieving boats, especially with trailers or heavier vessels.

Before heading out, be aware of a permanent advisory issued by the Oregon Health Authority regarding cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) in the Umpqua and South Umpqua Rivers. Additionally, paddlers should note that the South Umpqua is not a forgiving river—if you're unfamiliar with local conditions, consider checking current flow data and consulting with local paddling groups.
