Lebanon Landing

Lebanon Landing provides convenient access to the Saint Jones River and the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve (DNERR) near Dover. This boat ramp is located in Rising Sun-Lebanon and serves as an excellent launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring the lower Saint Jones River and its tidal waters. The facility includes a boat ramp, off-street parking for approximately six cars and one trailer, and an L-shaped courtesy dock designed to improve maneuverability and allow for temporary mooring while you retrieve your vehicle.

The Saint Jones River in this area is influenced by tidal conditions typical of Delaware's Atlantic coastal plain, making it suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels. The proximity to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge and the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve means you'll have excellent opportunities to explore over 6,000 acres of diverse wetland habitats, salt marshes, freshwater ponds, and forest lands. Lebanon Landing is open from dawn to dusk and offers a reliable alternative launch point for accessing this scenic and ecologically important waterway.
