The Lewis Street Boat Ramp provides public access to the Skykomish River just downstream from Monroe. Located in south Monroe off SR-203 (before or after the Skykomish River Bridge depending on your approach), the site features a double boat ramp with a large parking area, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and other recreational watercraft. High demand year-round reflects its popularity for fishing, paddling, tubing, and swimming.
Note that one side of the double ramp has been closed due to deterioration, though the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has been working on repairs and improvements to this access point. Paddlers should confirm current ramp conditions before visiting, especially if towing a trailer. The location provides a good jumping-off point for exploring this section of the Skykomish River.
