Liberty Cove Recreation Area is a 37-acre spring-fed lake located 2.5 miles southwest of Lawrence in Webster County, Nebraska. The boat ramp is a concrete, double-wide facility with a fixed center dock and a 56-foot floating dock, positioned in a sheltered cove at the south end of the recreation area. This protected setting makes it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. The lake maintains excellent water quality due to natural spring inputs and is stocked with bluegill, bass, catfish, and northern pike. Note that motorized boats are limited to 5 mph or less.
The site offers comprehensive amenities for paddlers including two restrooms, two shelters, RV camping with electrical hookups, and a beach area. Camping is available on-site, and well water is provided. Additional recreational opportunities include fishing, swimming, hiking trails, and a horse riding trail. The facility is administered by the Little Blue Natural Resources District and provides a convenient, developed access point for paddling in the region.
