The Lick Creek boat ramp provides free access to the upper section of Fishtrap Lake along the Levisa Fork in Pike County's scenic coalfield region. Located near Woodside off US 460, this ramp serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the reservoir and surrounding steep mountain terrain. The ramp is easy to find—take KY 80 southeast of Pikeville, turn left on US 460, then left on KY 1373 to reach the access point.

Fishtrap Lake offers a calm, scenic paddling environment with the Levisa Fork flowing through a dramatic landscape of forested mountains. The reservoir's upper waters near Lick Creek are ideal for recreational paddling, fishing, and exploring at a leisurely pace.
