Located on the Lower Crab Creek arm of Potholes Reservoir near Moses Lake, this year-round access point provides convenient launching for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats exploring the reservoir's scenic waters. The site features a concrete boat ramp and parking area, making it suitable for various watercraft. This access point is part of the Desert Wildlife Area Unit, which maintains several launch facilities throughout the Potholes system.
The Potholes Reservoir is a large, slow-moving impoundment created by O'Sullivan Dam as part of the Columbia Basin Project. Paddlers will find expansive, calm waters ideal for kayaking and canoeing, particularly during summer months. The surrounding Columbia National Wildlife Refuge offers a peaceful, expansive landscape with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Be aware that the area is popular for waterfowl and upland bird hunting, particularly in fall and winter, so plan your visit accordingly and wear appropriate visibility gear during hunting seasons.
