Little Moreau Recreation Area

Located near Timber Lake in Dewey County, the Little Moreau Recreation Area offers a wide boat ramp with excellent vehicle access, making it ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger boats on the Upper Little Moreau River. The ramp is positioned near the campground and is spacious enough to accommodate large rigs, providing convenient put-in and take-out access for paddlers of various experience levels.

The recreation area serves as a gateway to the Upper Little Moreau River and includes five non-electric campsites, making it suitable for both day trips and overnight outings. The site features a picnic shelter and is situated in an area known for wildlife viewing, including migratory bald eagles in winter and year-round species like wild turkeys and various game birds.
