This ramp provides convenient access to Patoka Lake, a 8,600-acre freshwater reservoir in the scenic hills of south central Indiana. The lake is known for diverse wildlife, including nesting bald eagles, and offers good paddling conditions for kayakers and canoeists. With ten launch ramps positioned around the lake, you can choose access points near your intended paddling area. Note that Patoka Tail Waters (downstream) may experience temporary closures due to dam discharge; check current conditions before launching. The nearby Hoosier National Forest provides additional recreation opportunities for multi-sport outings.
