About This Access Site
Located on the east shore of Ellison Creek Reservoir on Big Cypress Creek, this boat ramp provides convenient access to mid-lake paddling and boating opportunities. The ramp is situated within Lone Star City Park and is straightforward to locate from town—simply head south on US 259 and turn left on FM 729 before the Big Cypress Creek bridge; the park entrance is approximately 1 mile south of the intersection. Look for the "City Park" sign marking the turn-off from US 259.

This is a solid access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the reservoir. The mid-lake location offers good launching conditions, making it suitable for both day trips and longer paddling excursions on the water body. Visiting paddlers should plan accordingly for parking and any amenities that may be available at the city park facilities.
