Long Lake

Long Lake offers a well-maintained public boat launch operated by New York State DEC on Dock Road off Route 30. The facility features a hard surface ramp suitable for trailered boats, with ample parking for approximately 60 vehicles and trailers. The launch is located on the beautiful eastern shore of Long Lake and provides float-off and float-on launching for most boat types. Note that the actual launch is located at the parking area halfway up the lake—not at the end of the road, which is private property.

This is an excellent access point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters of all experience levels. The site is fully handicap accessible, including parking areas, accessible ramps to the water, bathrooms, and informational kiosks. For those preferring to dock temporarily, a town dock with nine parking spots is available at the bottom of Route 30 with public docking limited to six hours maximum. Walk-ins are welcome, though calling ahead to reserve is recommended during peak times.
