Located on the Yahara River in Monona between Lake Monona and Lake Waubesa, Lottes Park offers a convenient public boat launch for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters. The park entrance is on West Broadway (note: it can be tricky to locate, so check the map before arriving). The facility features a lighted parking lot, a drop box for launch fees, and a handicap-accessible fishing pier, making it accessible for paddlers of varying abilities.
The park provides excellent amenities for paddlers planning extended trips on the Yahara River. A kayak and canoe rack is available for rent, allowing you to store your vessel during the boating season (May 1–October 31). This makes Lottes Park a practical base for multi-day paddles along the river or explorations of the adjacent lakes. In addition to water access, the park offers a pleasant shoreline area for visitors to explore on foot before or after your paddle.
