About This Access Site
Located in Bonita Springs, the boat ramp at Lovers Key State Park provides direct access to Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, making it an excellent launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and larger vessels. The park sits on what were once secluded barrier islands surrounded by mangrove forests, offering scenic paddling opportunities through protected estuary waters. An on-site bait shop is available for supplies, and the park features a Discovery Center for visitor information.

**Please note:** The boat ramp is currently undergoing repairs, and trailer parking is limited. Check current conditions before visiting, as dock replacements and facility improvements may affect access. Paddlers should be prepared for variable water conditions typical of estuarine environments and should respect the nearby Matlacha Pass National Wildlife Refuge, which provides important habitat for roosting birds and wildlife.
