About This Access Site
The Lovewell-Oak Point boat ramp provides access to the western end of Lovewell Reservoir on White Rock Creek in Webber, Kansas. This single-lane ramp is located just past the White Oak Creek Bridge and offers a convenient entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The site includes primitive camping spots, picnic tables, a vault toilet, parking area, and an information center. As of recent reports, all boat ramps are usable when water levels are at or near conservation pool elevation.

White Rock Creek is a medium-sized river system (Stream Order 5) with moderate flow averaging 40 cubic feet per second and a gradient of 5.4 feet per mile. The creek's relatively consistent velocity (1.68 ft/sec) and manageable slope make it suitable for paddlers seeking a stable paddling environment, though water conditions can vary seasonally. The drainage area of 350 square miles indicates adequate flow for recreational boating throughout most of the year.

To reach the ramp, travel west from I-95 Exit 14 for 2.3 miles to U.S. Highway 17, then turn right (north) for 5.4 miles to the White Oak Creek Bridge. The ramp is located on the right immediately after crossing the bridge. For additional amenities and facilities, Lovewell State Park operates a full-service recreation area on the reservoir's north shore with camping, hiking trails, a marina, and swimming beach.
