Lowell Park is a public boat ramp located on the north shore of Dexter Reservoir on the Middle Fork Willamette River near Lowell, Oregon. The ramp provides convenient access to this scenic 22-mile stretch of forested shoreline and is typically the primary launch point during peak summer season—notably, it's the designated launch site on July 4th when Dexter State Recreation Site is normally closed. The reservoir offers good opportunities for trout and bass fishing, and paddlers can explore the lake or venture downstream into the Middle Fork proper.
The site includes basic amenities such as restrooms and is situated near several camping options, including Ivan Oakes Campground and Cascara Campground within 10 miles. Several hiking trails are accessible from nearby Dexter and Elijah Bristow State Parks, including the River Trail and Angler's Trail, which wind through riparian forest. For boaters planning multi-day trips, the Middle Fork has maintained boat ramps continuing east toward Westfir and west all the way to the confluence with the mainstem Willamette near Springfield, offering excellent paddling options along this forested river corridor.
