About This Access Site
**Location & Amenities:** Located at 4330 Libby Road in Madison, this Dane County Parks facility provides excellent access to Lake Waubesa, a 2,080-acre lake southeast of Madison. The site features a 16-foot-wide concrete boat ramp with moderate slope and a separate barrier-free canoe/kayak launch, making it well-suited for paddlers of all abilities. Amenities include paved parking, restrooms, a fish-cleaning station, and boarding piers. A secondary parking area is available across the road at 4291 Libby Road for those accessing Capital Springs State Park.

**What to Know:** Either a Dane County Lake Access Permit or Wisconsin state park sticker is required for parking. The park offers scenic views over the lake and can get buggy during summer months, so insect protection is recommended. The launch provides access to both Lake Waubesa and Upper Mud Lake, making it a good starting point for exploring the area's waterways. The site is family-friendly with additional amenities including a playground and nearby dining options.
