Lynx Lake

Lynx Lake is a popular recreational destination in the cool pine forests outside of Prescott, Arizona. The lake offers a boat ramp that allows access for small boats, kayaks, and canoes with 10 horsepower motors or less. Oar, paddle, and sail-powered boats are also permitted.

The boat ramp is located at latitude 34.522, longitude -112.38816. Visitors should note that the shoreline may be muddy and soft, especially after the lake level has been lowered. The end of the boat ramp may be out of the water, creating hazardous conditions for vehicles. When full, Lynx Lake covers 55 surface acres, but can drop to around 22 acres when the water level is lowered.

The Lynx Lake Recreation Area offers a variety of other recreational opportunities, including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and picnicking. Several campgrounds are located within 10 miles of the site. Paddlers and boaters should be aware that they may encounter other users, such as horseback riders and hikers, on the nearby trails.
