About This Access Site
Maloney Road Park provides boat access to Fort Loudoun Lake, a major impoundment on the Tennessee River in the Knoxville area. Fort Loudoun Lake is a 14,600-acre reservoir created by a TVA dam, offering relatively calm and protected water conditions ideal for recreational boating. The Tennessee River system is a major waterway with significant flow volume, averaging nearly 70,000 cubic feet per second, though the lake environment itself maintains much calmer conditions than the free-flowing river sections.
