About This Access Site
Manchaug Pond's public access boat ramp, located on Torrey Road at the southeastern end of the pond, offers paddlers and boaters an excellent launch point for exploring this 200+ acre "great pond." The facility features a large paved ramp managed by the Town of Sutton and the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game, with ample parking for approximately 50 vehicles. The ramp is open from dawn to dusk.

The pond averages 13 feet deep with a maximum depth of 30 feet, providing good conditions for kayaking and canoeing. From this access point, paddlers can explore Manchaug Pond itself or venture into the connected Mumford River system, which is part of the Blackstone River Watershed. The site's convenient location and well-maintained facilities make it a reliable starting point for day trips on the water.

**Nearby options:** Paddlers seeking additional paddling opportunities can explore the French River system via the Hodges Village Dam launch (15+ miles of trails in the area) or visit Buffumville Lake, a 200-acre recreational destination.
