About This Access Site
Mandarin Park is a 37-acre county-managed access point on Julington Creek near its confluence with the St. Johns River in Jacksonville. The facility features a 35-foot-wide boat ramp with 42 trailer parking spaces (including 2 ADA spots), making it suitable for both trailered boats and hand launches. The park also includes a floating courtesy dock, making it convenient for kayakers and canoeists to load and unload gear.

This location provides good access to Julington Creek and the St. Johns River system for paddling and boating. The park setting offers amenities beyond water access, including trails and scenic views of the Julington Creek Bridge and surrounding area. Given the width of the ramp and trailer capacity, Mandarin Park is well-equipped to handle a variety of watercraft, though paddlers should note that water conditions vary seasonally on the St. Johns River system. For current information about facilities, hours, or any seasonal closures, contact Jacksonville Parks & Recreation or the St. Johns County boating hotline at (904) 209-0328.
