The Marina boat ramp on Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, Connecticut provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and small motor boaters. The paved ramp leads into the expansive 5,420-acre lake, which is the largest natural lake in Connecticut.
The access site features a large gravel parking lot with approximately 35 spaces. A turning area near the ramp allows vehicles with trailers to maneuver. Chemical toilets are available during the boating season. However, there is no disability access at this location. Boaters should be aware that the water can be shallow at low tide, so caution is advised when launching.
To reach the Marina boat ramp, take I-84 to Route 7 north, then take the Federal Road exit. Continue north on Candlewood Lake Road and turn left onto Nabby Road. The boat launch will be on your right. This central location on the lake provides a convenient access point for exploring Candlewood's scenic shores and coves by small watercraft.
