The Twin Lakes Marina boat ramp in Rockwell City provides public access to the Twin Lakes system via a hard-surfaced ramp on the south shoreline. This launch serves Lower Twin Lake and connects to Middle Twin Lake through a channel beneath Highway 100, offering paddlers and boaters access to a substantial natural lake system. The facility includes parking for nine vehicles with boat trailers. Note that a pass is required to park boat trailers at Three Rivers Park District boat launches from April 1 through November.
Twin Lakes is an unrestricted motorboat lake, so expect recreational powerboat traffic. The lake supports fishing for bluegill, crappie, and walleye, and the north section remains open 24 hours daily for anglers. A second public ramp is also available on the east shoreline near the outlet structure, providing additional access options. Kayakers and canoeists will find a good-sized natural lake system suitable for paddling, though the presence of motorboats should be taken into consideration when planning your visit.
